Thanks to constant investment in technology and research, Sinterfiltri is able to offer customised solutions for the most diverse industrial applications, guaranteeing high standards of reliability and efficiency.
In our workshop, the production heart of Sinterfiltri, technology and precision come together to create sintered filters and silencers in bronze, stainless steel and porous plastic. The production process is based on sintering, an advanced technology that allows high-performance components to be obtained through the controlled compaction and melting of metal or polymer powders.
The Production Process
1. Powder Preparation - Raw materials are selected and mixed to ensure uniformity and optimum performance.
2. Compacting - Powders are pressed into high-precision moulds to achieve the desired shape.
3. Sintering - The compacted parts are subjected to controlled temperatures in specialised furnaces, in a protected atmosphere, to promote melting of the granules without loss of porosity.
4. Machining and Finishing - If necessary, components are finished by machining, surface treatment or specific impregnation to improve functional properties.
5. Quality control - Each product undergoes rigorous testing for strength, porosity and filter performance.
Machinery and Technology
The Sinterfiltri workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to guarantee the highest quality:
1. CNC machining centres for making moulds and finishing parts with high precision.
2. Temperature-controlled sintering furnaces with regulated atmosphere to avoid oxidation and guarantee structural uniformity.
3. Hydraulic and mechanical presses for precise compaction of powders.
4. Test benches and quality control to check the mechanical strength and permeability of the products.
